Recently I am discovering some ways to create pieces incorporating mannequins.
These are my latest . . .

Title: "Earth"
Measures 12" wide x 36" high. Comprised of molding material, wire, branches and hand painted.
The "Torso" stands 5' h x 26" w. Measuring from the widest point on the skirt.
All hand painted with metal, wire, nuts and bolts.
"Head Dress" measures 32"h x 16"w.
All hand painted with metal work.
A short time ago I picked up an old 1908 skirt form. The rust and dents were an added bonus! I didn't want to loose that feeling of being 'well worn' so the embellishment is a deconstructed apron and a bonnet.
It's totally created in wire mesh and the roses are touched with a little paint for color. Yes, I did have to wear leather work gloves and in the future I will have to devise a system to catch all the tiny pieces of wire mesh that breaks off during the cutting process..
